FOX News Media Leads YouTube Again With 918 Million Views
FOX News Media ended the third quarter of 2026 as the leading news brand on YouTube, marking its eighth consecutive quarter at the top. In a quarter packed with major news events, the company recorded 918 million video views, finishing ahead of every major competitor and extending a run that has now lasted two full years.
Data from Emplifi showed MS NOW in second place with 889 million views, followed by CNN with 712 million. ABC posted 442 million video views, while NBC News reached 356 million and CBS News totaled 149 million. The latest quarter also strengthened FOX News Media’s broader yearly position, as the company has accumulated 3.5 billion video views in 2026, giving it a 32% lead over its closest rival, MS NOW.
The latest YouTube performance adds to a wider stretch of momentum for the company across digital and television platforms. The quarter’s results indicate that FOX News Media has continued to convert major news cycles into sustained online audience growth, while also keeping a sizable advantage over traditional broadcast and cable competitors in video consumption.
Strong quarter across platforms
The company’s digital lead was not limited to YouTube. According to Emplifi, FOX News ranked No. 1 in social engagement during the third quarter with 280 million interactions across Facebook, Instagram, X and TikTok. That total placed the brand ahead in another major measure of audience activity, showing strength not only in video viewing but also in how often users shared, liked and responded to its content.
Breaking down those engagement figures, FOX News generated 85.1 million interactions on Facebook, 54.1 million on Instagram, 14.6 million on X and 126.7 million on TikTok. The TikTok total represented the largest share of the company’s social engagement for the quarter, underscoring the platform’s growing role in news distribution and audience reach.
FOX Business also posted a notable result on YouTube during the same period. Comscore Social reported that the business network generated 139 million video views in the third quarter, enough to remain the top business brand on YouTube for the 27th consecutive quarter. That streak further highlights the company’s long-running strength in digital video beyond its core news operation.
Television performance added to the momentum
The company’s online gains came alongside a strong television quarter. FOX News Channel finished as the top network across all of cable in the third quarter and outperformed CNN and MS NOW combined in multiple categories. The digital numbers therefore reflected a broader pattern rather than a stand-alone result, with the brand maintaining a leading position across both traditional and social platforms.
One of the network’s most durable ratings successes also continued during the period. “The Five” remained the top program in cable news for the 20th straight quarter, adding another milestone to the company’s quarter-end performance. Together, the ratings, video views and engagement numbers point to a media operation that continues to lead in both reach and interaction.
With 918 million YouTube views in the third quarter alone, FOX News Media closed September 2026 with a clear lead in digital news video. The latest figures show a company still widening its footprint on the platforms where audiences increasingly discover and consume news.
